I’ll give this jacket credit for looking decent, but that’s about it. The stiff little thing felt way too heavy, and I could barely move my arms comfortably in it. I wore it once and pretty much immediately regretted buying it.

I was about to place an order on schottnyc.com, but not gonna lie, the shipping cost was way too high. Once I saw the final total, it just didn’t feel worth it anymore. I ended up closing the checkout without buying anything, which was frustrating.

"Solid jacket, feels good"
I’ve been wearing this jacket a bit and it feels really sturdy. The material is definitely solid, though it was a little stiff at first. After a while it seems to loosen up some, so that part wasn’t a big deal. Overall, it’s good for what I needed, especially with that one thing I was using it for

"I picked up a Schott jacket knowing it..."
I picked up a Schott jacket knowing it would need some time to break in, but it was really way rougher than I thought it would be. The leather felt super stiff right out of the box, and the sleeves were almost like cardboard for the first few weeks.

I wore it around the house, took walks in it, and tried to just be patient, but it still felt more uncomfortable than I expected. It definitely looks good, but for the price, I really thought it would start feeling wearable a bit sooner. Not a bad jacket, just not the best experience for me.

"Felt completely ignored"
I emailed them twice and felt like I was just being brushed off. Nobody really got back to me with anything useful, and I was left sitting there trying to figure things out on my own. Frustrating when you feel like you’re the one chasing them for help.

"Helpful once I got a reply"
I had a question about sizing, so I reached out to customer service. I was mostly paying attention to whether they actually answered that part clearly, and they did. They got back to me the next day, which was fine, though I would’ve liked the first response a bit sooner. Overall, it was a good experience and they were helpful.

"Not the Schott Experience I Was Hoping For"
I bought this mainly because I’ve always liked the history behind Schott and the whole old NYC jacket reputation. I really wanted to love it, but once I actually had it, it just didn’t feel as special as I expected. The heritage is definitely cool, but my personal experience with it was underwhelming

"Shipping took way too long"
The shipping was much slower than I expected. I placed my order thinking it would arrive within a reasonable amount of time, but it felt like it just sat there with hardly any updates along the way.

I’m usually patient and don’t mind waiting a little, but this got frustrating. For what I paid, I expected better handling and a smoother delivery experience, and in the end it just left me feeling disappointed

"Leather didn’t feel worth the price"
I ordered a jacket from Schott NYC and was excited, but the leather felt cheaper than I expected. It looked good out of the box, but once I tried it on, it felt kind of thin and stiff instead of that softer, heavier premium leather I had in mind. For the price, I just expected more. What annoyed me even more was that some of the terms seemed to change from what I thought I was agreeing to when I bought it, which made the whole experience feel a bit frustrating. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I ended up disappointed.

I was kind of disappointed with this. The zipper broke way sooner than I expected, and the snaps feel loose like they might not hold up for long. I thought the quality would be better. Now I’m not even sure what the next step is supposed to be for getting this fixed or replaced, which is frustrating.

"Started coming apart sooner than I hoped"
I really wanted to love this jacket, especially since it wasn’t cheap, but I started noticing loose threads after about a week. The seams kind of look like they were rushed, which was disappointing. That said, the jacket itself still looks nice overall, so maybe I just got a bad one, but the stitching definitely didn’t hold up the way I expected.

I went in with a couple of basic questions about sizing and how to take care of the leather, and the staff didn’t seem very sure. One person told me one thing, then someone else gave a different answer, which just made it more confusing. I don’t know, I’d already read a bit online before going in, and it kind of felt like I knew more than they did. The products looked fine, but the help really wasn’t helpful.

"Maybe it’s just me, but the packaging was rough"
The jacket itself was totally fine, so no complaints there. But maybe it’s just me, I expected the packaging to be a lot better for the price. The box showed up crushed, the tape was half open, and it just looked like no care was put into it. Disappointing, honestly.

"Wrong jacket showed up"
I ordered a jacket in a specific size and color, but when the box showed up, the color was totally different. The weird part is the receipt had the right one listed, so I have no idea where it went wrong.

Customer service did eventually get back to me, but it took a few days and they wanted photos and all that. For what I paid, I figured someone would’ve checked the order before shipping it out. Whatever

They had a nice selection and I did find what I was looking for, so overall it was a good experience. I just wish there were a few more options available. If the variety doesn’t improve a little, I might end up shopping somewhere else next time.

I was able to return my item without too much trouble, so the policy technically does what it says. But the fees kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but it feels like they make returns just annoying enough so people give up and keep stuff they don’t really want. Not a total dealbreaker, just something to watch out for.

I tried to exchange a jacket, and maybe I just caught them at the worst possible time, but the whole thing turned into a headache. Replies were slow, the steps weren’t very clear, and I still never really got a straight answer. Frustrating overall.
